Fed's Shoot Down Mike's Gun Suit

The federal government will not file criminal charges against any of the 15 out-of-state gun dealers accused by Mayor Bloomberg in a federal lawsuit of selling guns illegally, the Daily News has learned.
In a stern rebuke to the city's high-profile crusade against illegal guns, the feds warned the Bloomberg administration that it could face "potential legal liabilities" if it continues to conduct sting operations that fall within the jurisdiction of federal agents.

Bloomberg announced the filing of a federal lawsuit last May against 15 gun dealers, who he lambasted as the "worst of the worst." The city later filed a similar lawsuit against another 12 dealers.

This is great news. Mikey Bloomberg, the epitomy of a RINO and a complete gun grabbing commie, has been handed a defeat. This all started with Rudy by the way. Yes it in fact does piss off the feds when a city tries to run 'sting operations' outside of their state. Big shocker there.

The fact that the BATFE has no interest in pursuing these cases indicates just how lame their evidence is. The ATF does not give up the opportunity to trap gun dealers and force them out of business and/or into prison if they can. The evidence didn't reach even their weak standards. For the unfamiliar the BATFE(Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Enforcement) is a Gestapo-like organization who continually makes up the rules as they go. They lie in wait at gun stores and shows posing as customers to catch the unsuspecting gun dealer in any infringement of 'the law'. The fact that we have to fill out forms and get background checks is bad enough. The BATFE makes it a nightmare for gun dealers. Even the smallest error on a form will incur very stiff penalties. They have used this tactic to put people out of business several times. Wal Mart has said this is one of the reasons most of their stores are no longer selling guns.
