Concealed Carry on Campus

The Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, had their national protest today and Fox News has a modicum of coverage at least. CNN appears to be ignoring it.

The Story

"You don't like the fact that you can't have a gun on your college campus? Drop out of school," said Peter Hamm, a spokesman for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
When someone pulls out a gun and starts firing in a crowded environment, it's more likely that additional victims will be harmed, Hamm said.
"Let's be grateful that those holsters are empty," he said.

Ah how typical. What a snide attitude this gun grabber has. I bet if he had been scared senseless hiding behind a desk at Virginia Tech, his ignorant dismissal would have been a little different. Hamm is obviously a complete idiot. How would having a trained person with a gun in the vicinity at VT caused more deaths exactly? It would have more than likely stopped the rampage and saved lives. It is kind of hard to continue a murderous rampage when you are dead, or lying on the floor bleeding to death. This stupid rhetoric passes no common sense judgment.

Here is a nice quote from a campus police officer at Penn State.

"We think this would create more of a hazard if anyone could carry a firearm on campus," Parham said. "When you shoot the weapon, you have to be mindful of what's behind the person two miles down. What happens if you miss your target? Where does that round go?"

This reminds me of the genius that shot himself in the leg, while claiming only the police are smart enough to have weapons. It shows his complete ignorance of firearms as well. His "two miles down" comment is a perfect illustration of this. These are the people protecting are young men and women on college campuses. They don't know their butts from a hole in the ground when it comes to personal defense.

The encouraging thing is that this protest will bring awareness to the problem. It is a good step in the right direction. When all you can come up with are these kind of specious arguments against concealed carry on campus, there is obviously a shortage of valid reasons not to change the policy.

Disarmed people are lambs waiting for slaughter. The murderers know exactly where to go to find loads of unarmed people to kill. It is like shooting fish in a barrel for them. Maybe less of our best and brightest would have been killed on that day at VT had some of us "responsible adults" pulled our heads out of our butts, and allowed them to defend themselves.

Such a Sad State of Affairs

We are hearing the ringing of one of the greatest civilizations death knells as we live through these times. Britain is on it's way out. The have surrendered to the specter of political correctness permanently it seems. The Iranian hostage fiasco has illustrated to the world, just how much of a beaten country Britain is. Other people have written much of this in recent days. I am sadly contemplating Britain's eventual drowning in the cesspool of multicultural appeasement-mongers that are the EU. Europe will no longer be part of 'The West'. We will be all that is left of the free world, once the surrender to the Islamofascist hordes are complete. I pray that I am wrong and the proud people who fathered our great nation, and whose people my family sprang from, will rise up and take control of their destiny soon.

I was working on a lengthy post about the release of the hostages, and after reading the Daily Mail's coverage of the story, along with the comments of every day Britons, I just can't bear to do it right now. They have lost their souls it seems. There is no difference, in their minds between Iran and America.

What in the hell is going on?

At the Target store on E. Lake Street, a cashier wearing a hijab looked uncomfortable when I showed up at the cash register with a frozen pepperoni pizza. She immediately called for help, and another employee rang up the pizza and placed it in the basket.
I asked her if it was because she was Muslim, and she nodded her head. "I can't even touch it," she said.

The E. Lake store has only has a few aisles of food. How do Muslim workers adapt in Super Targets where there are full-fledged grocery sections? And is anyone other than this caller bothered by this? Are there some Muslim workers at Target who feel they have to suppress their beliefs to avoid conflicts?

You have got to be kidding me! These people are trying to take over our country and force us to bend to their religious wills. This is just one of a myriad of stories. Another recent one involved Imams telling the followers it is OK to evade income tax because it is against Islam to pay them. Let's not forget the cabbies that refused to give rides to Americans carrying booze they brought back with them from their vacations. This is the domestic Jihad. It is a slowly creeping chimera, that will take us over if we do not stop it sooner rather than later. All one has to do is look at France where whole sections of town are no-go zones for the police because of the Muslims that inhabit them. The awesome part is, the housing is provided by the government!
